Abstract
Geological pedagogical collections – the documents of Juliusz Verreaux (1807–1873) in the collections of the Museum of Natural History in Paris.
A b s t r a c t. The authors analyzed documents from the Jules Verreaux Archives at the French National Natural History Museum in Paris advertising pedagogical geological collections. A typical collection for junior high schools was presented, especially pedagogical geological collections, offered for purchase in France in the second half of the 19th century. The role of Jakub Malinowski (1808–1897), educator, writer, participant in the November Uprising, author of the idea of establishing mineralogical counters in schools, was recalled.
