Abstract

HELIUM - A USEFUL RAW MATERIAL

Summary

Beginning with the history of helium discovery, the present author discusses the properties and usefulness of helium, and points to its occurrence in the nature, presenting also some data as to its exploitation in the individual countries. In this light he also characterizes the perspectives of discovering the commercial deposits of helium in Poland, and postulates for elaboration of a programme to search for eventual occurrence areas of the gas considered.
