PROBLEMS OF LITHOLOGICAL STUDIES ON QUATERNARY DEPOSITS

Summary

The author discusses the most important branches and methods of lithological analyses, and their significance in studies on Quaternary deposits. He stresses a necessity of using instrumental methods that allow to determine quickly and more precisely the lithological features of these deposits. The studies on the Quaternary deposits, says the author, should be conducted complexly, i. e. considering all the criteria mentioned above.
