Abstract

METHODS OF REGIONAL ENGINEERING-GEOLOGICAL RESEARCHES OF KARSTSummaryThe article presents main methodical problems and extent of regional engineering-geological researches of karst. The methods of karst investigations, elaborated and successfully applied in the Laboratory of Engineering Geology at the University of Warsaw, are adapted to explain a specific geologic, geomorphologic and geodynamic problem of karst, and on account of their complex character may considerably increase the effectiveness of engineering-geological investigations of karst in a given region, the economy of planning, in some cases, of documenting the elementary and even the preliminary projects.
