Abstract

AN ATTEMPT AT DETERMINING COEFFICIENT OF WATER PERMEABILITY OF LOOSE ROCKS ON THE BASIS OF THE VALUES OF SPECIFIC RESISTIVITY INTERPRETED FROM THE CURVES OF ELECTRIC LOGGINGSummaryThe article presents the results of experimental works, the purpose of which was to control the principles of Theile's method from 1952. These works have been made within the areas of the terraces of both the Warta and the Parsęta Rivers. As a result of these works the Theile's principles have been confirmed and a fact has been ascertained that mathematic form of relation between the specific resistivity φ of the water-bearing series taken into consideration (interpretation of PSE curves) and the water-permeability coefficient kp (test pumping), take the following, shape: φx = A + B tgh (C·kp). In the case of the areas here considered the values of the constants A, B, C changed within the boundary A-60-100, B-210-420, C-500-1450.
