Abstract

TECHNICAL-ECONOMICAL PROBLEMS OF UNDERGROUND WATER INTAKESSummaryThe article deals with the problems connected with the construction of underground water intakes. The problems generally concern the organization of hydrogeological survey in our country, the existing technique and the methods of constructing underground water intakes. In addition, there are discussed also economical questions. particularly those influencing the costs of construction. Moreover, a short characteristic is also given of water-bearing series from the viewpoint of their use for the water supply purposes. The topics of the present paper refer to the theses of the V Congress of the Polish Technicians. The author pays attention to the right economy as to the underground waters, and postulates to develop research works aiming at the determination of deficit areas. He stresses a necessity of conducting the investigations on the exploitation regime within the areas menaced with the afflux of chloride waters, and presents some demands that should be transmitted to the V Congress.
