The preliminary results of assessing hydrogeochemical equilibrium in acidulous waters in the Kłodzko area using geochemical modelling.
S u m m a r y. This paper contains the preliminary results of research on hydrogeochemical equilibrium in acidulous waters in Ziemia Kłodzka. The problem of rock-water interaction in acidulous waters in the Sudety Mountains (SW Poland) is discussed for the first time in Polish literature. The chemical composition of acidulous waters is mainly controlled by the process of decomposition of carbonate rocks. Minerals regulating the hydrochemical equilibrium in acidulous waters in the area of Polanica Zdrój are principally calcite, dolomite, quartz, in the area of Dusznik Zdrój albite and calcite, in the area of Kudowa Zdrój calcite and dolomite.
