Abstract

The assessment of pore pressure experimental distributions during continuous loading (CL) consolidationtests.S u m m a r y . The pore pressure variations that were obtained during CL consolidation tests are discussed in this paper. The comparative analysis was made on the base of observed changes to confront information on experimental soil behavior with theoretical solutions of the primary (filtration) consolidation process. On the basis of obtained experimental data, the factors resulting in the incompatibility with the theoretical models, were identified and discussed in this paper. This incompatibility results from degree of saturation, conditions of dispersion of pore water pressure and load rate path.
