Dar pracowników na stulecie powołania Państwowego Instytutu Geologicznego
Abstract
A gift of the employees for the hundredth anniversary of the establishment of the Polish Geological Institute.A b s t r a c t. The hundredth anniversary of the establishment of the Polish Geological Institute was an opportunity for its employees to fund replicas of two amphoras that had been exhibited at the Geological Museum before World War II, and were destroyed during the war. The amphoras have been filled with crude oil from the Barnówko–Mostno–Buszewo (BMB; Polish Lowland) and Turze Pole (Carpathians) deposits, as well as with brine. Barbara and Kunegunda (Kinga), the two patrons of miners, became the patrons of the amphoras.Downloads
