Abstract
Fatricum provenance of the Rhaetian deposits in the "Nad Moreną" section (Przysłop Miętusi area): a correction of the Hronicum stratigraphy in the Tatra Mts.
A b s t r a c t. The "Nad Moreną" section (Triassic–Jurassic boundary interval) in the Tatra Mts. was previously ascribed to the Choè Nappe (Hronicum domain) or to the Krína Nappe (Fatricum domain). Microfacies analysis of the Rhaetian limestones proves that they belong to the Fatra Formation, particularly because of the fossil biota assemblages. This study definitely proves the Krína (Fatricum) provenance of the "Nad Moren¹" section and corrects stratigraphy of the Choè Nappe (Hronicum domain) in the Tatra Mts.
