Abstract

Execution of public tasks and legal framework of research institutes.A b s t r a c t. Public tasks are important for the economy and constitute an obligation of the state to meet the collective needs of people, executed by competent public and private entities. Moreover, such tasks are related to public interest and public benefit. The public interest is also a criterion for deciding how a given public task should be implemented. This paper discusses legal framework of research institutes with reference to public tasks. The special status of such institutes is important for development of science and economy mainly due to the fact that they constitute legal units set up by the government for the purpose of application-oriented research and development
