A b s t r a c t . The methods of recognition, research and exploration of raw materials by China in the country and abroad are presented. Foreign investments are implemented with particular caution, after their thorough evaluation and are usually taken over by the minority package. Attention is paid to investments related to the exploitation of copper ores, and especially their dissimilarity with the global economic situation. China invests in African mining using the method of parallel infrastructural and social investments, thus squeezing its Western competitors out of this market. Against a background of leading global producers of the most important raw materials, China ranks first, moving far ahead of all other countries.
