Abstract

HYDROGEOLOGICAL PROBLEMS OF THE LOWER VISTULA RIVER VALLEY Summary The present paper is a summary of a report delivered during the LVI Scientific Session of the Geological Institute held in Sopot. The report presents some hydrogeological problems connected with the plans that have in view the development of the Vistula River by constructing water stages in its lower course area. Moreover, there are discussed problems of prognoses of changes that can take place in hydrogeological regime after the construction of basins, a problem of chemical composition of ground water in the Vistula River valley, and others.
