INFLUENCE OF MINERAL SUBSTANCE IN COAL UPON CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF PORPHYRIC LAVA
Summary
Coal of seam 60 in the mine Victoria consists predominantly of vitrinite and inertite (semifusinite
and fusinite); coal ash is low-melting (950ºC). Porphyry found at the top of the seam has been referred to alkaline (albite) palaeorhyolites. The porphy that occurs in the form of nodules has changed its mineral and chemical composition due to the assimilation of components of mineral substance in coal, and corresponds at present to a type of diorite rocks.
