Abstract

RADIOACTIVE INDICES OF UNDERGROUND WATER FLAW Summary The paper discusses several methods of investigating underground water flow by means of isotope indicators. Methods based on both radioactive and stable isotopes detected by activation analysis are classified. Principles of selection of indicators to investigate water flows, techniques applied to avoid losses caused by sorption, and those carried on by means of determined kinds of indicators, as well as ways of detecting various indicators used during investigations are discussed. Moreover, perspectives of practical use of the individual research methods are taken into consideration, too.
