PROVENANCE OF UNDERGROUND WATERS AND THEIR CHEMICAL COMPOSITION
Summary
The problem of underground water provenance has for a long time been responsible for the creation of numerous theories and hypotheses that sometimes contcradict each other. Waters of the water-bearing horizons occurring near-by the earth surface or at a small depth only are, for the most part, of infiltration origin. Provenance of the deep waters that acre mainly mineralized waters or strong brines, has so fact not been explained sufficiently. The author presents a review of opinions of numerous scientists studying deep waters, and gives the results of his own researches and observations.
