Abstract
ON STRATIGRAPHICAL POSITION OF ORDOVICIAN GLAUCONITITES IN THE PODLASIE DEPRESSION
Summary
The article deals with the problem of age of Lower Ordovician glauconitites found to occur in the Podlasie depression. Their stratigraphical position has been evidenced palaeontologically mainly due to certain clay intercalations in glauconitite, with some representatives of graptolite index fauna (bore hole Dobre 1). The fauna is an evidence that the glauconitite corresponds to the Lower Arenigian that comprises the zones Didymograptus deflexus and D. extensus.
