As concerns type of opencast workings used during exploitation of solid mineral raw materials, two methods are distinguished in mining exploitation: surface and underground methods. The present article deals with the opencast exploitation of a uniform, solid mineral deposit and with the estimation method of minimal, but still payable reserves of a deposit.
