Abstract

ON QUARTZ CRYSTALS IN THE VICINITY OF STRZEGOM Summary Rock crystal belongs in Poland to fairly wide-spread minerals and occurs both in magmatic rocks and in sedimentary rocks, forming also greater concentrations; or is found as large crystals. Most frequently, however, it can be found as small crystals overgrown on the walls of narrow fissures in various sandstones, -chalcedonites, limestones, marbles, dolomites, a.o. More considerable accumulations of the rock crystal are so far known in Poland to occur only in the Lower Silesia area. The present article deals with the rock crystal occurrence sites in the vicinity of Strzegom.
