Abstract

FORMATION OF COAL FORMARLY AND AT PRESENT Summary Formation of coal (anthracogenesis) that appears at present in the form of peat formation is one of the stable effects of uninterrupted vital activity of plant kingdom i.e. of phytobiosis. The antracogenesis continuously develops as one of the stable elements of lithogenesis that is the main course of the evolution of the earth's crust. Moreover, the author discusses the anthracophilic conditions under which the antracogenesis takes place on a larger or smaller scale. Climate, geomorphology, hydrogeology - are the main factors conditioning the anthracophilic character of the individual regions of the Earth, and of its history.
