Abstract


PS METHOD IN DETERMINING MINERALIZATION OF DEPOSITIONAL WATERS IN THE JURASSIC LIMESTONES IN WARSAW SYNCLINORIUM

Summary
A correlation between the EPS (or PS) values and Cw mineralization (resistivity Rw) of depositional waters in carbonate deposits of Jurassic formations has been ascertained on the basis of the results of a regional analysis of geophysical materials, from the bore holes made in the Warszawa synclinorium, and on those obtained from the laboratory research of the depositional waters. Regressive analysis of the materials collected has been made, reducing the multiple correlation to binary one. A function EPS = f (H, Rf, Rw) has been obtained in the form of an equation of linear regression, and the functional relation between these parameters has been determined on the basis of mathematical statistics. It has also been ascertained that the probability of this relation exceeds 0,9. A nomogram has been elaborated for interpreting the PS results to determine the resistivity, thus also the mineralization of depositional waters that saturate the Jurassic limestones in the Warszawa synclinorium area.
