ON THE BASALT CAST STONE
Summary
The article deals with the process of crystallization of melted basalt, the knowledge of which is necessary to obtain its optimum recrystallization structure in practice. Under the name “cast stone” the authors understand here the material which is obtained after melting rocks or rock mixtures, and due to the directed crystallization of the alloy. The studies on the crystallization process of basalt cast stone were made on basalt from Miłkowice , near Legnica.
