Abstract
OPINION ON MINERALOGY OF MONTMORILLONITE CLAYS OF THE UPPER SILESIAN CARBONIFEROUS
Summary
Recently, examinations of montmorillonite clays from the Poręba Beds of the Upper Silesian Carboniferous have been made by a team of scientific workers of the Mineralogy and Petrography Department, Academy of Mining and Metallurgy. Several dozen complete chemical, thermal and spectroscopic absorption analyses in infra-red, as wen as diffractograms and microscope preparations have been made. The article deals with the results of these examinations and discusses the opinion on mineralogy of the montmorillonite clays of the Upper Silesian Carboniferous.
