CLAY DEPOSITS AND YOUNG TERTIARY TECTONIC MOVEMENTS IN THE SUDETES
Summary
The present author discusses the origin of clay deposits in the Sudetes area and draws a conclusion that they are Young Tertiary in age, not, as it is suggested by J. Oberc, that they are interglacial ice-dammed lake clays or varve clays. According to the present author these clays are related only to the glacial environment, as proved by the data found by him in the home and foreign literature. The article is a continuation of the discussion held in this periodical already in Nos. 11 and 12/1968, and 6/9.
