METHODICAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS OF DRILLING GEOPHYSICS IN SEARCH FOR BITUMEN DEPOSITS

Summary
The article deals with three problems. related to the methods of !Interpretation of drilling geophysical data and stresses these problems from the viewpoint of search for bitumen deposits. These are: 1 - problem of the form of qualitative presentation of properties of a reservoir under conditions of scarce initial data. 2 - methods of determining porosity of reservoir rocks on the basis of both neutron-gamma and gamma loggings. 3 - problem of discontinuity of radial distribution of resistivity of rocks. The first problem has been solved by the present author by illustrating all deviations from the average values, and by determining the horizons characterized by the best reservoir properties. As concerns the second point, some dependencies have been introduced, eliminating the influence of clay content during the determination of the porosity calculated from the neutron-gamma logging, and an example,has been presented of an nomogram elaborated. As to the third problem, a new form has been discussed concerning the presentation of electrical properties of rocks on the basis of the data of resistivity logging, by introducing a notion of discontinuity
