Abstract
AN ATTEMPT AT USING MINERAL COEFFICIENTS IN GENETICAL DETERMINATION OF DEPOSITS IN THE AREA OF THE LUBLIN VOIVODSHIP
Summary
The article presents an. attempt at describing the deposits fund to occur in the area of the Lublin voivodship, on the. basis of mineral coefficients calculated using the proportions observed among the minerals of heavy fraction, d. e. S/O,. N/O and N/S, where O - minerals resistant to mechanical and chemical destruction, S - minerals middle-resistant to mechanical and chemical .destruction, and N -•non-resistant minerals. The individual mineral groups have been selected on the basis of Ruchin's classification. It has been ascertained that the coefficients do not permit us to distinguish univocally the genetically different deposits; although a possibility exists to draw conclusions as to the character of the origin deposits. It has also been observed that the coefficient here considered may be of use in distinguishing the horizons of boulder clays.
