Abstract

PROPERTIES OF OIL POMORSKO IV Summary The article presents the results of technological studies of oil Pomorsko IV exploited in the region of Zielona Góra. Physical and chemical properties of crude on, of distillate fractions obtained in the temperature up to 440°C, and of bottoms after distillation of clear products in the temperature up to 330ºC are examined in detail. The studies have (demonstrated that, in contrast to the low-sulphur oils found to occur in the Carpathians and the Carpathian Foreland areas, the oil Pomorsko IV can be referred to the high- sulphur oils. Moreover, the oil Pomorsko IV is characterized by a high content of both paraffin and aromatic hydrocarbons. As concerns its non-hydrocarbons, the oil contains a considerable amount of resins, and asphaltenes.
