Abstract

APPLICATION OF THE METHOD OF SUBTRACTION OF THE FIELDS FOR GEOELECTRIC SURVEYS MADE FOR ENGINEERING-GEOLOGICAL AND HYDROGEOLOGICAL PURPOSES Summary The article deals with the theoretical, interpretative and measurement assumptions for resistivity logging made by means of substraction of electrical fields. This method belongs to the simplest electrical methods of controlled fields. An increased resolution is here the main advantage of the surveys made by means of this method. This may, first of all, be seen in the geoelectrical profiles of A, AA, KH, and KHK types; it is also reflected in a low sensitivity to the changing resistivity of the overburden. It is difficult to make an electric logging by means of the method considered mainly due to a necessity of using additional current intensity stabilizers and regulators, and double feeder, this resulting in a fact that the intensity of field works is lesser than obtained by means of PSE method. A more detailed discussion of the principles of interpreting the electric logging made by means of subtraction of electric fields will be presented in the next article.
