Abstract

IMPORTANCE OF ERRORS IN CHEMICAL ANALYSIS IN SEARCH FOR RARE ELEMENTS, CONDUCTED BY MEANS OF GEOCHEMICAL METHODS

Summary
The paper deals with an attempt at actual estimating the results of chemical analysis made by means of statistic calculation for the purposes of geochemical prospection. It has been demonstrated that the choice of a measurement method, appropriate as concerns its sensitivity and precision, and made as a result of the confrontation with the geochemical problems being solved, allows us to obtain much more geochemical information for the object in study, thus also to increase the work effectiveness. On the basis of the geochemical prospections of fluorine, more important statistical parameters in estimation of errors of chemical analysis are discussed, and their practical significance is given. Moreover, measurement errors of both emission and absorption spectroscopy methods, i.e. methods most frequently used by prospectors-geochemists, are determined, and main trends in the development of the technique applied In measuring the rare element concentrations are given.
