Abstract
PERSPECTIVES IN USING DEPOSITS OF CRYSTALLINE ROCKS IN THE LOWER SILESIAN AREA
Summary
In the Lower Silesian areas, crystalline rocks are exploited for both road-building and architectural purposes. For the most part these are valuable raw materials characterized by high technical parameters and by considerable decorative qualities. Road-building material, various blocks for water power plants and land architectural constructions, as well as elevation boards and blocks in monumental building are known to be of high quality, too. The article emphasizes the possibility of introducing some new raw materials like gneisses, amphibolites and Karkonosze granites, and stresses the problem of economical use of the crystalline rocks in the quarries which are active at present.
