Abstract
MINERAL RESOURCES AND MINING WITHIN WESTERN AND NORTHERN AREAS OF POLAND
Summary
The article is a short presentation of the achievements of Polish geology and mining in the western and northern areas of the country during the 25-year period of the Polish People's Republic. Presenting this problem the author emphasizes that the achievements continuously increase, and now are a basis for proper evolution of the areas under consideration, and in consequence of this - of the entire area of the country. So far, the problem of economical development of these areas has been solved; however, new data on the mineral deposits, recognized in the last period, allow us to devise new developmental plans.
