Wydzielanie roztworów porowych z gruntów spoistych metodą wysokich ciśnień
Abstract
EXTRACTION OF PORE SOLUTIONS FROM COMPACT SOILS USING HIGH PRESSURE METHOD Summary The paper presents a method of extracting pore solutions using high pressures. The author describes the construction of an apparatus for the extraction of solutions (Fig.• 1), and discusses the preliminary results of examinations. Water was squeezed out of six different kinds of compact soils (Pliocene clays, Quaternary boulder clays, varved clays), the features of which are presented in Tab. 1. The examinations reveal that the rate of extraction of pore water first of all depends upon the contents of clay fraction in the sample examined (Fig. 2), and that the moisture of rock samples after water extraction also depends upon the clay fraction contents and increases with the increase in clay fraction in a given sample (Fig. 3), this being related to the ability of this fraction to bind water. The moisture of rock samples after extracting water is also directly proportional to that boundes in the given sample.Downloads
