Abstract

PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF THE STUDY ON SOME RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE PHOTOTONES OF AIR SURVEYS AND LITHOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF UPPER CRETACEOUS DEPOSITS IN THE REGION OF MNICHÓW Summary The article deals with the most important results of the study so far made by the present author on the relationships between the lithological development of the Upper Cretaceous formations in the region situated south of Chęciny and phototone of air surveys. It results from the study considered that such relationship may be documented in a given area, and that it is of considerable significance in solution of cartographic-geological problems. The results also inform that here a sedimentary rhythmicity occurs, especially regular in the series of the Upper Cretaceous deposits. Such a documentation of the sedimentary rhythmicity is of considerable scientific importance, as well.
