Abstract

GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF THE WAPNO ANTICLINE AS SHOWN BY SEISMIC WORK Summary The geological structure of the Wapno unit bailed on the review of seismic work and on conclusions resulting from rereviewing of the gravity anomaly measurements is presented. The mentioned seismic work carried out by the Enterprise for Geophysical Explorations (PPG) in 1963 is an attempt to use seismic work to define the structure of a salt plug. This work succeeded in reproducing the tectonic structure of the unit .of a considerable economic value and hitherto rather poorly known from the drilling records. The geological interpretation yielded new data on the shape and vertical boundaries of the salt plug and consequently the scheme of the geological structure of the Wapno anticline could be presented.
