Abstract

PROGNOSIS OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF MINERAL RAW MATERIALS IN THE KIELCE PROVINCE Summary The paper deals with the method of plotting synthetic map of mineral raw materials for use in both open--cut and underground mining. On the basis of these maps are constructed prognostic maps concerning the development of mineral industry. These maps illustrate the present-day state of the industry, the possibilities of location of new industrial objects, and the areas where no mining activity will be developed on account of the landscape conservation for recreation and touristic purposes. Regional prognoses are worked out in a co-operation with the Geological Institute and the Geological Divisions active at the People's Province Councils. Due to the prognoses worked out, location of the future centres of exploitation and processing of mineral raw materials, particularly of building mineral raw materials, may already now be foreseen.
