Abstract
PERSPECTIVES IN SEARCH FOR OIL AND GAS SHOWS IN THE SOUTH-WESTERN AREA OF POLAND
Summary
The paper deals with the so far discovered oil and gas shows in the south-western area of Poland in the Permian and Triassic series of the Fore-Sudetic monocline. Here belong: Rybaki, Połęcko. Nowa Sól-Otyń and Antonin deposits in the Main Dolomite, Uciechów-Tarchały-Bogdaj Żakowo and Czeszów deposits in the Rotliegendes and in the Z1 limestone, as well as Bożęcin deposit - in the top sandstones of the Rotliegendes. Moreover, the author is of an opinion that the Palaeozoic series below the Rotliegendes, the sandstones of the Lower Buntsandstein, and sandstones and probably oolite limestones in the Middle Buntsandstein below the Roethian, found to occur within the Fore-Sudetic monocline, in the Mogilno-.Szczecin-Łódź synclinorium and anticlinorium, are of industrial importance, too.
