Abstract

STATE OF RECONNAISSANCE OF PEAT DEPOSITS IN THE KIELCE VOIVODSHIP Summary So far, in the area of the Kielce voivodship approximately 28 361,10 ha of peat bogs, i.e. 94,33% of the total area of the turbaries have been recognized. These are mainly low peat bogs. amounting to about 92% of the total area of the objects examined. Mean thickness of peat ds 1,1 m, maximum thickness amounting to 7,25 m. The peat bogs are accompanied by gyttjas, the total occurrence areas of which make 1 404,5 ha. Moreover, the article presents the state of use of the peat bogs of the Kieloce voivodship.
