Abstract
PRELIMINARY REMARKS ON ROCKS FROM MOON'S SURFACE
Summary
On the basis of chemical properties of rock samples taken from the Moon's surface by the crew of the space ship "Apollo 11", a review and verification of the hypotheses on the origin and the differentiation mode of the lunar substance has been presented. According to the present author, the most probable hypothesis is that the Moon's primitive matter, resembling achondrites or chondrites poor in metallic phase, comes from an asteroid zone and has been differentiated, by fractional liquefaction, according to the action of zonary melting.
