Abstract

CONDITIONS FOR THE FORMATION OF LOCAL STRUCTURES IN THE EARLY PALEOZOIC IN THE PERIBALTIC SYNECLIZE Summary Conditions of formation of local Early PaIeozoic structure from the Peribaltic syneclize are characterized on the basis of analysis of geological and geophysical data. Regularities in distribution of the local structural are discussed. It is also shown that all the local structures are tectonically complicated by faults, which result in their block form. Genesis of local structures is related to the development and motion of particular blocks. Three generations of faults are distinguished according to the time of their origin. Correspondingly, three principal types of local structures are identified. It is shown that the time span of formation and development of these local structures might range from the Lower Cambrian to the Lower Permian. Some types of petroleum traps related to type of structures and conditions of their development are distinguished. Problems discussed in the present paper are of importance for current practise in selecting trends and methodology of petroleum exploration over the area of the Peribaltic syneclize.
