Abstract

ORIGIN OF MINERAL IN LEUCOCRATIC ALTERATION ZONE IN THE VICINITY OF JORDANÓW (LOWER SILESIA) Summary The present author has determined the succession in formation of diopside, zoisite, clinozoisite, grossular, chrome-hydrogrossular, vesuvian, tremolite, actinolite, prehnite, pumpellyite, desmine, vermiculite and of many other minerals within the leucocratic alteration zone at Jordanów near Sobótka (Lower Silesia), and demonstrates that leucocratization of the rocks at Jordanów took place simultaneously with the saussuritization of the Sobótka gabbro. The alteration of these rocks was due to the post-gabbroic hydrothermal solutions enriched in CaO.
