Abstract

OCCURRENCE OF BARIUM AND STRONTIUM IN MINE WATERS OF THE RYBNIK COAL DISTRICT Summary Analytical examinations have been made to determine the amount of barium and strontium ions in mine waters of the Rybnik Coal District. The results obtained serve to obtain complete description of waters under examination. On the basis of these examinations a correlation has been ascertained between the occurrence of barium and strontium ions and the mineralization degree of the waters in study, as well as between the above ions and the remaining ions of the calcium group.
