Abstract

SUBDIVISION AND CLASSIFICATION OF GENETICAL TYPES OF MARINE DEPOSITS ACCORDING TO W. T. FROLOV Summary Two years age a Laboratory of the Baltic Sea Geology of the Geological Institute was established. The main purpose of this establishment is to map the Baltic Sea bottom. In connection with this there is purposeful to give information concerning an attempt at distinguishing and systematizing the geneticaI types of marine bottom deposits, presented in 1968 by Prof. W. T. Frolov, Moscow University. This information will, probably, be of interest also for the geologists dealing with the problems of marine deposits.
