REGIONAL REFRACTION SURVEYS AND PRELIMINARY ANALYSIS OF BOUNDARY VELOCITIES
Summary
The paper deals with development of methodology and techniques of regional refraction studies in Poland in 1961-1971. The surveys carried out during that period were aimed at recognition of morphology of refraction boundary with boundary velocity 5.4--6.4 km/s, related to crystalline or consolidated substratum. Basic problems related to anaysis of materials and the results obtained are discussed. Boundary velocities established and their characteristics values for some selected areas are given.
