DETERMINATION OF SOME HYDROGEOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF WATER-BEARING STRATA ON THE BASIS OF ELECTRIC RESISTANCE SURVEYS
Summary
The paper makes an attempt to systematize and to recapitulate results on studies on the application of electric resistance survey method in determinations of hydrogeological parameters of water-bearing non-cohesive deposits. Results obtained previously by Archie, Morozov, and Arandelovic, and recently by the present authors were utilized in the analysis. The method appeared advantageous in forecasting hydrogeological properties of rocks from valleys and buried river valleys. Some suggestions concerning possible improvements of methodology of the studies, which may result in more complete utilization of electric resistance survey data are given.
