STUDIES ON SHEAR STRENGHT OF BASEMENT ROCKS IN CONNECTION WITH PROJECTING PORĄBKA – ŻAR POWER PLANT
Summary
In connection with the construction of upper reservoir buttress of power plant, field studies on shear strength of basement rooks were carried out. The designed reservoir is localized in the upper part of Mt. Żar, the Śląski Beskid Mts. Shear strength tests were made for 10 cubic rock samples. The methodology of these studies and results obtained are given in this paper.
