HEAVY METALS IN SOILS OF THE BOGUSZÓW - STANISŁAWÓW - POMOCNE REGION, THE SUDETY MTS
Summary
The results of statistical interpretation of barium, strontium, zinc, and lead contents in soils occurring above barite ore in the Boguszów - Stanisławów - Pomocne region in the Sudety Mts are given. Mean contents of the metals studied are given in Table 1. A strong relationship of simple linear correlation type was found between Ba and Sr and not between Ba and Sr: similar: relationships were found by them present author in the case of barite-bearing zone at Strawczynek in the Holy Cross Mts (6). All the metals studied exhibit normal type frequency distributions in the soils (Fig. 2).
