Abstract

PROBLEMS OF USE OF THERMIC LOGGING IN DETERMINING THE ALTITUDE OF CEMENT SOLUTION BEING SQUEEZED UP OUTSIDE THE WELL-CASING Summary Thermic logging presently used in determining the altitude to which cement solution' was squeezed up outside the well casing is discussed. Some factors influencing the magnitude of geothermal anomaly originating during fixation of cement solution are characterized. The problem of selecting an optimum time of thermic logging is presented on the basis of the example of two boreholes. The time of thermic logging considered as optimum for determining the altitude to which cement solution had been squeezed up was selected on the basis of an analysis of the effect of temperature factors active during cementation of the well casing and the interpretations of acoustic logging curves for the two boreholes.
