Abstract

ENGINEERING-GEOLOGICAL PROBLEMS OF WASTE HEAP AND SEWAGE SEDIMENTARY RESERVOIR IN SULPHUR MINE Summary Opencast exploitation of sulphur-bearing deposits raises some engineering-geological problems. Some of these problems are far from typical ones and demand introduction of new methods of designing and new solutions. Establishment of stability conditions of the substratum under waste heap and safe conditions of exploitation of sewage sedimentary reservoir deposits are one of such problems and are discussed in detail on the example of Machów opencast mine.
