SOME PROBLEMS OF OIL AND GAS PROSPECTING IN THE MIDDLE CAMBRIAN OF THE PERIBALTIC SYNECLIZE (PART I)
Summary
Possibilities of the occurrence of oil in Middle Cambrian deposits of the Peribaltic synclize, and particularly of its western part, are discussed. Geophysical well logging methods hitherto applied are characterized and ways of their optimalization presented. Geological-geophysical characteristics od Cambrian deposits as a ahole, as well as of particular sandstone horizons, “A”, “B” and “C”, are given. Possible explorative perspectives are discussed on the basis of correlation accepted herein.
