OPTIMAL DENSITY OF RECOGNITION BOREHOLE NETWORK FOR IZDREMEC COPPER MINE (BUŁGARIA)

Summary
Izdremec copper deposit is formed of a few deposit bodies of the shape of irregular layers; they display copper or copper-lead minerallization. The deposits were reconstructed by boreholes spaced in 100 X 100 m network or even denser, 100 X 50 m network, when the boreholes were negative. The paper presents results of studies on deposit body no. 3 displaying copper minerallization. The deposit minerallization appears to be highly variable. The variability is marked in thickness of toe deposit, copper content, as well as in differences in thickness and minerallization of particular parts of the deposit. The paper presents results of studies aimed at evaluation of optimal density of prospecting boreholes. The studies were carried out by the statistic and multivariate dilution methods.
